About Us
Suvarna Karnataka Housing Co-operative Society Limited, Mysore (SKHCS) established under Karnataka Co-operative Act 1959 (8) for the Scientist, Project Scientist and other staff of Karnataka State Remote Sensing Applications Center (KSRSAC), Department of Information Technology, Bio-technology and Science and Technology (IT, BT and S&T), Government of Karnataka and its line Departments and others. The primary objective of SKHCS is 'to make such schemes and to carry out such works as are necessary for the purpose of dealing with and satisfying the need of housing infrastructure/accommodation'. With this dominion SKHCS endeavors to provide housing to the people of Karnataka at affordable cost and therefore recognized as the most important bureau for housing/infrastructure throughout Heritage City Mysore, Karnataka.
SKHCS is headed by Chairman and 11 members Board. The Act also provides for appointment of Project Engineer and Secretary.
SKHCS undertakes layout formation, housing schemes and land development schemes as envisaged in the Act and subject to the control of the Board and the Dept. Co-operative, Government of Karnataka. The schemes are:

SKHCS endeavors to meet the housing requirement to all class of people viz., Low Income Group, Middle Income Group and High Income Group categories.
SKHCS Layouts/townships are provided with basic infrastructure such as asphalted roads, drinking water, electricity, under ground drainage, parks, civic cum commercial complexes / plazas etc.
SKHCS takes care of maintenance of each township till it is handed over to local municipal bodies. Road repairs, street light maintenance, security are taken care. SKHCS ensures electricity and water supply from local authorities.

OFFER OF SITES/HOUSES FOR ALLOTMENT
1) Whenever Board has formed sites and constructed houses in pursuance of any scheme, the Board may offer all or any of sites/houses for allotment to person eligible for allotment under the prescribed regulations.
2) Due publicity shall be given in respect of sites/houses for allotment specifying their location, number of sites/houses, the amount payable as Membership/Shares Deposit/Registration Fee and such other particulars as the Board may consider necessary.
AFFIXING NOTICES:
i) On the notice Board of the Office of the Suvarna Karnataka Housing Co-operative Society Limited, Mysore;
ii) On the Notice Board of the Divisional, Sub-Divisional Office(s) of the Karnataka Co-operative Department, Government of Karnataka in whose area the sites/houses are to be allotted;
iii) Publication not less than three daily news papers of which one should be a Karnataka Daily having wide circulation in the area in which the sites are formed or houses are constructed, as may from time to time be decided by the Board. Provided that if in response to any earlier notification for allotment of houses/sites in the same area or demand survey notification, adequate application are available for allotment, it shall not be necessary for the Board to give publicity again for such sites/houses.
FINANCE SCHEME
i) Although, SKHCS does not directly provide any Financial Assistance, applicants, can avail financial assistance from leading financial institutions such as HUDCO, ICICI, LIC and HDFC and others.
ii) Applicants could also approach Nationalized Banks such as Corporation Bank, Canara Bank, SBI and other Banks.
iii) In case the applicant requires No Objection Certificate for availing Financial Assistance then the same will be provided bySKHCS, Mysore on request.
iv) Meanwhile SKHCS, Mysore is also passing on to make some M O U with the leading Banks for Financial assistance. |
